Road Rage with a twist. Don't let this happen to you!

DRIVIN'
words & music by Larry L Campbell c1999
On my way to church just a few weeks ago, I know you won't believe it but I tell you it's so. Mindin' my own business stayin' in my own lane, everyone around my driving like they're insane. I looked in the mirror and saw a man with gray hair, inches from my bumper with his fist in the air.
I sped up just a little to give him some space, I didn't know he'd take it as a challenge to race, he yelled something to me as he flew past my door, oh it seemed so right to smash the peddle to the floor, the next thing you know we're driving side by side, weaving thru the traffic at hundred and five.
I let him take the lead, the Christain thing to do, a moment of mercy for a moment or two, but then I felt complelled to pass him back and slow down just a little, I wasn;t sure which lane to pick, so I drove right oin the middle, He rolled down his window and tried to run me off the street, he mentioned my poor mama and said things I cant repeat.
Chorus;
I can only pray the good Lord will understand, love is not enough when there's a wheel in your hands...and you're drivin'.
He took the next off ramp I followed in pursuit,
I could not wait to meet this man who thinks he is so cute,
He pulled into a parking lot and jumped out of his car,
waving his arms and strutting' like he was a star,
Imagine my surprise it almost knocked me off my perch,
the gray-haired man turned out to be the pastor of my church.
(Chorus)
