This song was written many years ago, but from what I see today, the world hasn't changed for the better. It's gotten worse! The bible states that Christians are to be salt in a bitter world, a light on a hill. There was a time when the church helped the homeless, fed the hungry, took care of widows and orphans. It seems as if that mission may have gotten a little off track. The corporate church was never meant to be a profit center. Many churches and individuals are doing great things, but I wonder if we all can do a little more. That's what this song is about.
